Let us introduce ourselves and tell you a little about Unique Futons. We have been involved in the manufacturing, distribution and retailing of futons and futon mattresses for many years now, from our base here in the East of England, we have always had a fascination for futons, their functionality and style. The quality of the futon mattress is paramount to the comfort and life of this wonderful product, here at Unique we put quality and comfort first!.

We source wonderfully high quality products for Unique, at really competitive prices, it matters to us that our customers should be delighted with their purchase and that it will grace a home for many years.
Why Unique? - Choose Your Filling!
Standard Grey Filling. A standard high quality filling. This contains a cotton top and bottom layer, special futon felt which contains cotton and wool (wools adds natural spring to the mixture) and a layer of rebound polyester providing comfort and shape to your futon mattress. Provided as a standard 6-layer on all 'tri-fold' style futons including the Viking, Doric and hardwood 2 seaters, and with an extra layer of felt on bi-fold (or 'bench-style') models for extra durability, creating our unique hi-loft futon.
Unique upgrade White filling. STOP PRESS - IMPORTANT NEWS REGARDING UNIQUE FUTONS. Unique Futons have introduced a new white cotton filling. Due to requests from our customers for our pure cotton futon, we have researched various types of cotton. Although cotton was used in the traditional futon in the past and is a superb product, it has a tendency to matt down and produce lumps. We have therefore researched and developed a pure cotton filling mixed with a small amount of polyester. This product has all the advantages of cotton, but the polyester dramatically reduces the matting process.

We hope you will be pleased with the end result. We are now able to offer cotton layers throughout the futon, giving you all the advantages of cotton without the matting down. This product uses mainly pure cotton and is therefore more expensive than a cotton fibre mix, but we hope you'll agree its well worth it!.

Like the standard futon mattress the Unique mattress is provided as a standard 6-layer on all 'tri-fold' style futons including the Viking, Doric and hardwood 2 seaters, and with an extra layer of felt on bi-fold (or 'bench-style') models for extra durability, creating our Unique hi-loft futon.

Here at Unique, we would like you to 'build' your own futon using 3 easy steps:
  • 1) Select the Futon frame you wish to purchase
  • 2) Select the filling for your futon mattress
  • 3) Select the colour of the upholstered futon cover.
